The Indians finished off a two-game sweep of the Cubs with a 1-0 shutout at Wrigley Field. Adam Plutko took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before giving up two hits. Plutko is 2-and-0 and Cody Allen got four outs for his seventh save. Michael Brantley's RBI single in the third inning was the only offense Cleveland would need. The Indians are 24-and-23.
Chicago left six men on base and was 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Jon Lester allowed the single run across seven innings to slip to 4-and-2. The Cubs dropped to 25-and-21.
The Cubs do not play today. They open up a 3-game series against the Giants on Friday at Wrigley Field.
