The Rochelle Township High School wrestling program came away with several awards today at the 2018 Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials All-State Banquet.
The event was held at Lyons Township High School.
In the Class 2A category, the following awards were handed out to RTHS:
**Head Coach of the Year: Rich Harvey
**Assistant Coach of the Year: Carl Harvey
**Has also been nominated for National Wrestling Coaches Association Assistant
Coach of the Year
**Administrator of the Year: Athletic Director Kevin Crandall
**Scholastic Wrestler of the Year: Alex Harvey
**Also won: Ken Gerdes Scholarship Award
IWCOA Academic All-State Team
All-State Wrestler
**All-State Wrestler Eddie Villalobos
**Silver Award for Dedication, Volunteerism, and Support of the IWCOA: Connie Kessen

RTHS is coming off a season where they finished in 4th place at the Class 2A Dual Wrestling State Tournament.
