The Bulls have suspended forward Bobby Portis eight games after he
reportedly sucker punched teammate Nikola Mirotic during a fight at
Tuesday's practice. The punch left Mirotic with a concussion and
multiple broken bones in his face and he'll be sidelined 4-6 weeks.
Mirotic, who signed a two-year contract that could pay as much as
$27 million last month, was the Bulls' top returning scorer after
averaging 10.6 points last season. Portis will be allowed to
practice with the team while on suspension.
