Javier Baez singled in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning as the Cubs downed the Blue Jays, 4-3, at Wrigley Field. Ian Happ homered and added an RBI-single for the Cubs, who moved one win away from the sweep. Jose Quintana struck out eight over six frames of two-run ball to secure the win.
The Cubs lead the NL Central Division by 2 and a half games over St. Louis and Milwaukee.
Danny Barnes was charged with the loss for Toronto. Raffy Lopez laced a two-run single against his former team.
The Cubs look for the 3-game sweep today at Wrigley Field.
