The Rangers reeled off six runs in both the third and fourth innings as they ran past the White Sox, 17-7, in Globe Life Park. Rougned Odor homered in both innings, and Mike Napoli added a three-run homer and a two-run double as Texas surged ahead. Shin-Soo Choo tacked on a three-run shot in the sixth and Martin Perez picked up the win. The Rangers evened their record to 61-and-61.
Derek Holland was chased in the third inning against his former team and took his 13th loss for the White Sox. A five-run first inning didn't hold up as Chicago fell to 46-and-74. Jose Abreu finished 4-for-5 with three runs and a solo homer.
