Reds beat the Cubs 13-10

Phillip Ervin belted a go-ahead two-run homer in the seventh inning as the Reds outslugged the Cubs 13-10 at Wrigley Field.  Ervin drove in four, while Joey Votto's three-run homer highlighted a nine-run second inning for Cincinnati, which earned a split of the four-game series.

Ian Happ hit two of the six home runs for the Cubs, who erased a 9-0 deficit.  Alex Avila smacked a two-run homer in the fourth and an RBI-double in the fifth to tie the game at nine.  Jon Lester was rocked for nine runs, seven earned, before leaving in the second inning with left lat tightness.  Justin Grimm took the loss.

The Cubs open up a 3-game series with Toronto this afternoon at Wrigley Field.
