Rochelle Football Purple and White Scrimmage
**Friday evening at the Doug Creason Athletic Complex
**Sophomore and Freshmen teams will take the main field at 5pm
**Varsity Team: Will scrimmage at 5:30.
**The Rochelle Hubs open up the 2017 season on Friday, August 25th with a home game against Chicago Corliss. Pre-Game Show begins at 6:30pm on Good Time Oldies 1060 and wrhl.net
**Sophomore team will play their season opener on Monday evening, August 28th, at home against Kaneland. Kick-Off is set for 5:30.
**The Freshman team will play Kaneland on Saturday, August 26th, in Maple Park at 10am
**The Annual Rochelle Hubs Football Preview Show can be heard this Saturday morning at 11 on Good Time Oldies 1060 and wrhl.net. The hour show will feature Head Football Coach Kevin Crandall.
Local Golf
Former Rochelle resident Andy Wiklinson placed 6th this week at the Winter Haven Challenge golf tournament held in Florida.
The event is part of the west Florida golf tour.
Wilkinson shot a 3 under par 213 for the 54 hole tournament. There were a total of 42 players.,
11 under par 205 was the winning score. Wilkinson finished 8 shots back.
