J.A. Happ tossed seven strong innings to lead the Blue Jays past the White Sox 5-1 in Chicago. Happ struck out 10 while giving up just six hits and one run to improve to 4-and-8. Roberto Osuna closed it out for his 27th save. Steve Pearce and Josh Donaldson hit solo home runs for Toronto, which took two-of-three in the series.
Leury Garcia plated the lone run for the Sox. Derek Holland permitted two runs in six frames to fall to 5-and-11. The White Sox have lost 19 out of their last 23 games.
