Nelson Cruz clubbed the go-ahead home run in the top of the 10th inning as the Mariners nipped the White Sox, 7-6, in Chicago. The M's erased a five-run deficit thanks to homers from Danny Valencia and Kyle Seager. Nick Vincent earned the win and Edwin Diaz struck out the side in the 10th for his 16th save. Seattle completed the three-game sweep on the road.
Avisail Garcia barreled two homers for the White Sox in defeat. Chris Beck gave up the deciding homer to take the loss. Chicago has dropped seven of its past eight games.
