Byron and Rochelle High Schools place 18th and 21st at IHSA Bass Fishing State Finals

Rochelle Township High School finished in 21st place today at the 2017 IHSA Bass Fishing State Finals held at Carlyle Lake in southern Illinois.

The team of Nolan and Colen Turner along with Head Coach and driver Curt Sambo were able to catch a total of 4 fish that weigh in just under 5 pounds. They caught 2 fish each day during the competition.

Byron High School finished in 18th place as the team of Drew Morgan, Ricky Messling, and Colton Ingram along with Head Coach and driver Casey Morgan caught 5 fish that came in at just over 5 pounds.

DeKalb High School placed 16th with a total of 5 fish.

The state champion at the Bass Fishing State Finals was Buffalo Grove High School. The team caught 9 fish which weighed in at over 13 pounds. Mahomet Seymour High School finished in 2nd place with 5 fish.
