The Rockies piled up their seventh straight win as they ripped the Cubs, 9-1, in Chicago. Mark Reynolds and Charlie Blackmon went deep for the Rox, and Nolan Arenado smashed a bases-clearing double. Reynolds finished 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBI. Jeff Hoffman improved to 4-and-0 with six-and-a-third innings of one-run ball.
Eddie Butler got tagged with the loss for the Cubs, who are on a four-game slide. Chicago sits a 30-and-31 on the year.
The Rockies look for the 4-game sweep Sunday afternoon at Wrigley Field.
