Charlie Blackmon's two-run homer in the fifth snapped a 2-all tie and the Rockies went on to beat the Cubs 5-3 at Wrigley Field. Ryan Hanigan's two-run blast in the second tied the game at two for Colorado, which also got an RBI single from Nolan Arenado in the seventh. Chris Rusin got the win in relief and Greg Holland escaped a bases-loaded jam in the ninth to notch his 23rd save.
Seth Frankoff took the loss. Jason Heyward drove in two runs for Chicago.
