Edwin Encarnacion drilled the go-ahead homer in the fifth inning as the Indians dropped the White Sox, 7-3, in Cleveland. Corey Kluber struck out eight over six innings to pick up the win. Yan Gomes highlighted a three-run eighth inning with a two-run single. Cleveland ended a two-game slide.
Miguel Gonzalez didn't make it out of the first inning for the White Sox, falling to 4-and-7. They have lost eight of their past nine games. Jose Abreu left the game in the seventh inning after being hit by a pitch.
