Avisail Garcia and Leury Garcia both homered as the White Sox finished off a three-game sweep of the Royals with a 5-2 win in Chicago. Avisail Garcia's two-run blast broke a 2-all tie in the sixth. Jose Abreu doubled twice, drove in a run and scored before leaving in the fifth with a hip injury. Jose Quintana struck out 10 over six innings to improve to 1-and-4. David Robertson closed it out for his fifth save.
Alcides Escobar and Jorge Bonifacio plated runs for KC, which went 0-and-7 on its road trip to Texas and Chicago. Nathan Karns was tagged for four runs in six frames to fall to 0-and-2.
The White Sox begin a road trip Friday night in Detroit.
