Miguel Gonzalez allowed one unearned run and two hits over eight innings as the White Sox routed the Royals 12-1 in Chicago. Matt Davidson had three hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs. Tim Anderson had three hits and scored three runs.
Jason Vargas gave up four runs on seven hits over five innings to lose for the first time this year. The Royals have scored a total of six runs during their five-game losing streak.
