The White Sox jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they cruised past the Indians, 6-2, in Chicago. The Sox spotted Derek Holland a three-run lead after one and he tossed six innings of one-run ball to earn the win. Leury Garcia and Avisail Garcia had an RBI apiece, Melky Cabrera drove in two. Chicago avoided the sweep and snapped a three-game slide.
Francisco Lindor homered in defeat. Danny Salazar was tagged with the loss. Cleveland had won five in a row coming in.
