Kris Bryant's sacrifice fly in the 11th brought in the winning run as the Cubs beat the Reds 6-5 in Cincinnati. Anthony Rizzo hit a three-run home with two out in the ninth to tie it for Chicago. Jason Heyward and Javier Baez also homered for the Cubs. Chicago won its third straight.
Tim Adleman held the Cubs to two runs and four hits over six innings and hit a two-run double. Robert Stephenson took the loss in relief. Cincinnati is 2-and-6 in its last eight games.
Corey Kluber tossed a complete-game shutout to lead the Indians past the White Sox 3-0 in Chicago. Kluber surrendered just three-hits while striking out nine as he picked up his second-straight victory. Austin Jackson scored on a wild-pitch in the third and Brandon Guyer launched a two-run bomb in the fourth. The Tribe has won four-straight.
Jose Quintana lost for the fourth time in four starts. Avisail Garcia failed to reach base for the first time this season as the White Sox lost for the third time in four games.
