Cubs win, White Soc lose in Major League Baseball

Addison Russell capped a four-run ninth inning with a walk-off three-run homer as the Cubs rallied past the Brewers 7-4 at Wrigley Field. Kris Bryant singled in the tying run earlier in the inning, while Russell's RBI single in the eighth pulled the Northsiders within one. Albert Almora Jr. also went deep for the Cubs, who took two-of-three in the series to improve to 8-and-7 overall. Wade Davis was credited with the win.

Travis Shaw smacked a two-run homer and Jett Bandy added a solo shot for Milwaukee, which fell to 8-and-8. Neftali Feliz dropped to 0-and-2 with his first blown save.

The Cubs begin a road trip in Cincinnati on Friday.

Four Yankees homered to back seven solid innings from Masahiro Tanaka in a 9-1 win over the White Sox in the Bronx.  Chase Headley hit a two-run homer, Starlin Castro a three-run shot, and Aaron Judge and Aaron Hicks each hit solo shots for New York.  Tanaka allowed just six hits and one run to move to 2-and-1.

Dylan Covey was tagged for 10 hits and eight runs in five frames to take the loss.  Jose Abreu went 3-for-4 with an RBI for Chicago.

The White Sox begin a home stand on Friday night against Cleveland.
