Brian Campbell, Richard Panik and Tanner Kero also found the back of the net for Chicago, which blew 2-0 and 3-2 leads before pulling out its fourth straight win.
Andreas Athanasiou, Tomas Tatar and Luke Glendening scored second-period goals for Detroit, which has dropped four of its last five.
The Blackhawks will be in Washington on Friday.
John Wall scored 26 points, including the go-ahead jumper with 5.9 seconds left, as the Wizards beat the Bulls 101-99 at the Verizon Center. Wall also dished out 14 assists for Washington, which climbed above .500 at 19-and-18. Bradley Beal and Markieff Morris added 19 points each in the win.
Denzel Valentine scored 19 points off the bench to lead the Chicago attack.
Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade did not play last night for Chicago. The Bulls have lost two straight to dip to 19-and-20.
