World Series begins tonight for the Cubs

The Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians will begin a historic World Series tonight. This year's Fall Classic pits two teams that have combined for 176 years without a championship. The Cubs are in their first World Series since 1945 and haven't won it since 1908. The Indians haven't won a World Series title since 1948. Chicago led the majors this season with 103 wins and beat the Giants and Dodgers to reach the Fall Classic. Cleveland claimed the AL Central Division title and blew through the Red Sox and Blue Jays to get to this point.

Jon Lester will start Game One for the Cubs, while the Indians counter with Corey Kluber. The Tribe will have home-field advantage in the best-of-seven series by virtue of the American League winning this summer's All-Star Game in San Diego. Tonight's first pitch at Progressive Field is set for just after 7.
