Kris Versteeg's goal in the seventh round of the shootout gave the Flames a 3-2 win over the Blackhawks in Chicago. Sam Bennett and Sean Monahan had power-play goals in the first to help Calgary stop a two-game skid. Brian Elliott made 31 saves through overtime and stopped all seven shots he faced in the shootout.
Patrick Kane and Brian Campbell had the goals for Chicago, which dropped to 3-3-and-1. Corey Crawford denied 29 shots in defeat.
