Cubs and White Sox both win

Chris Coghlan laced a bases-clearing triple and the Cubs held on for a 6-4 win over the Pirates. John Lackey allowed only a run during his five-inning start to improve to 11-and-8. Felix Pena got the final two outs for his first career save. Chicago's 101 victories are the team's most since winning 104 in 1910.

Andrew McCutchen drove in two during a three-run ninth for Pittsburgh, which has dropped three straight. Ryan Vogelsong permitted four runs in five frames to fall to 3-and-7.

Leury Garcia hit a three-run homer as the White Sox ripped the Rays, 13-6.  Melky Cabrera and Tim Anderson also went deep for Chicago, which has won four in-a-row.  Chris Sale struck out seven over seven strong innings to move to 17-and-9.

Curt Casali clubbed a solo homer and scored twice for Tampa Bay, which has lost its last five games.  Alex Cobb was lit up for eight runs in only three innings.  He dropped to 1-and-2.
