Cubs sweep the Reds

The Cubs finished off a three-game sweep of the Reds with a 9-2 rout at Wrigley Field. Dexter Fowler and Kris Bryant homered, while Miguel Montero drove in three runs for the Cubs. John Lackey threw seven innings of two-run ball to up his record to 10-and-8. Chicago's magic number to clinch home-field advantage throughout the NL playoffs is two.

Jose Peraza had two hits and an RBI for Cincinnati. Robert Stephenson fell to 2-and-2 after failing to make it out of the fourth.

The Cubs play the Cardinals at Wrigley Field on Friday.
