Tommy Joseph doubled, homered, and drove in three runs to help power the Phillies past the White Sox, 8-3, at Citizens Bank Park. Cesar Hernandez added a pair of hits, including an RBI triple. Jerad Eickhoff earned the win, striking out six over seven innings of three-run ball. Philly took both games in the short series.

Chicago's Chris Sale took the loss, allowing six runs on seven hits in four innings. Adam Eaton, Todd Frazier, and Alex Avila each homered in defeat. Four White Sox players were hit by pitches, tying the franchise record for most batters hit in a game.
