The White Sox jumped out to an early lead and held on to down the A's, 4-2, in Chicago. Todd Frazier highlighted a three-run first inning with a two-run single. Jose Abreu added a solo shot in the fourth. Jose Quintana tossed seven frames of two-run ball as the White Sox took the rubber match at home.
Quintana has won 10 games for the first time in his career.
Zach Neal surrendered eight hits and four runs to take the loss for Oakland. Khris Davis provided the offense with a two-run homer. The A's have dropped seven of their past eight games.
