Cubs Stay Hot, Sox Not

 Tyler Naquin's pinch-hit sac-fly RBI in the bottom of the ninth pushed the Indians past the White Sox, 5-4, at Progressive Field.  The Indians scored a run in each inning from the fifth through the ninth to earn the win, including a pair of RBI from Jose Ramirez.  Andrew Miller improved to 7-and-1 on the season with one inning of scoreless relief.  Cleveland's starting pitcher Danny Salazar left the game after the first inning.  Justin Morneau gave the White Sox an early lead with a three-run double in the first inning.  Jacob Turner took the loss.  Chicago dropped two of three in the series.   The White Sox and A's begin a three-game series tonight at The Cell.  Chicago is 57-and-63.  James Shields gets the ball for the Sox.  Oakland sends out Kendall Graveman.

 Kris Bryant went deep twice to power the Chicago Cubs past the Milwaukee Brewers 9-6 from Wrigley Field.  Bryant went 5-for-5 at the plate and drove in five.  Jake Arrieta improved to 15-and-5 on the season despite giving up five runs while walking seven batters.  Aroldis Chapman shut the door in the ninth for his seventh save for the Cubs, which won for the 18th time in 21 games.  Kirk Nieuwenhuis went 2-for-5 with three RBI for Milwaukee.  Zach Davies falls to 9-and-6 overall after allowing seven runs on 10 hits in four innings.  The Cubs are in Colorado to open a three-game series with the Rockies.  The Cubs are an MLB-best 77-and-43 on the season.  Kyle Hendricks gets the start on the mound for Chicago.  Colorado counters with Tyler Anderson.
