Starting pitcher Tom Koehler earned a no-decision but contributed at the plate with a two-run single. Mike Dunn earned the win in relief, and Fernando Rodney picked up his 20th save of the season. The Marlins avoided a three-game sweep with the win.
Chris Sale took the loss for Chicago, allowing five runs in six-and-two-thirds innings. He has not won since being suspended last month for destroying the team's uniforms. He remains with 14 wins.
