James Shields pitched six innings of two-run ball to even his record at 2-and-2 for the Sox.
CC Sabathia surrendered five runs in six frames to fall to 5-and-6 for New York. Starlin Castro went 4-for-4 and Chase Headley hit a two-run homer for the Yanks.
