Mike Fiers and three relievers combined for the five-hit shutout as the Astros blanked the White Sox, 5-0, in Houston. Fiers tossed six shutout innings for his sixth win. Carlos Gomez clubbed a two-run home run, and Luis Valbuena doubled in a run. Houston has won 11 of its past 12 games.
Miguel Gonzalez took the loss over seven innings of work for Chicago. The White Sox were 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position.
