James Shields finally earned his first win in a White Sox uniform in their 9-6 victory over the Twins. Shields fired six-and-two-thirds innings of one-run ball. Brett Lawrie, Tyler Saladino and Todd Frazier all launched solo shots in the victory.
Eduardo Nunez hit a lead-off homer for Minnesota, which scored five in the ninth before Nate Jones closed the door for his first save. Ricky Nolasco was lit up for seven runs in five-and-two-thirds to fall to 3-and-6.
