Kris Bryant became the youngest player in team history to homer three times in a game in the Cubs' 11-8 win over the Reds. The 24-year-old Bryant finished 5-for-5 with four runs, six RBI and a franchise-record 16 total bases. Jake Arrieta also hit a solo homer and improved to 12-and-2 despite allowing five runs in five innings.
Joey Votto went deep twice and plated three for Cincinnati. Dan Straily dropped to 4-and-5 after giving up seven runs in less than four frames.
