Willson Contreras' RBI single in the seventh inning pushed the Cubs past the Marlins, 5-4, at Marlins Park. Chicago jumped out to a four-nothing lead in the first thanks in part to home runs from Contreras and Kris Bryant. The Cubs snapped a four-game losing streak with the win. Miami tied it at four in the bottom of the first on a grand slam from Justin Bour . Trevor Cahill earned his first win of the season, and Hector Rondon secured the win for his 13th save.
Mike Dunn took the loss for the Marlins, who had won two straight.
Game #3 of the series is this afternoon in Miami.
