Duffy tossed six innings of shutout ball and struck out 10 batters for Kansas City. Cuthbert nailed solo shots in the third and eighth innings, with Kendrys Morales adding his own dinger in the fifth. The Royals ended an eight-game skid and tied the three-game series.
Jose Quintana struck out 10 batters in eight innings of work for the White Sox, but took his seventh loss. Avisail Garcia prevented the shutout with a ninth inning single.
