White Sox snap 5-game losing streak with win over the Nationals

Melky Cabrera  doubled twice and drove in two runs to power the White Sox past the Nationals, 3-1, at U.S. Cellular Field. Brett Lawrie  doubled in the other run for the Sox. Miguel Gonzalez earned his first win of the season by striking out five over six innings. David Robertson picked up his 14th save of the season for Chicago, which ended a five-game losing streak.

Daniel Murphy's solo home run in the fifth inning kept Washington from being shut out. The Nationals had won three straight.

The White Sox begin a 3-game series tonight at home against Kansas City. The Pre-Game Show begins at 6:35 on Newstalk 1060.
