The Dodgers ended the Cubs' six-game winning streak with a 5-0 victory. Adrian Gonzalez put LA on the board with an RBI single in the eighth and Corey Seager put the game out of reach with a three-run homer in the ninth. Scott Kazmir tossed six innings of one-hit ball in a no-decision. Joe Blanton got the win.
Jake Arrieta fired seven frames of two-hit ball. Clayton Richard took the loss. Chicago had won its previous 23 regular-season games started by Arrieta. Dexter Fowler's single in the third was Chicago's only hit.
Game #3 in the series is tonight at Wrigley Field.
