Pitcher Travis Wood walked in the winning run in the top of the 13th inning as the Cubs clipped the Brewers, 2-1, in the middle of a three-game set at Miller Park. Wood was credited with the victory and Clayton Richard notched his first career save.
Addison Russell plated the tying run in the ninth for Chicago, which avoided its first three-game losing streak of the season. Alex Presley had the lone RBI for the Crew, who had won their previous two. Carlos Torres took the loss.
Final game of the series is this afternoon in Milwaukee.
