Mat Latos  and four relievers combined on a four-hitter as the White Sox kept the Twins winless with a 3-1 victory at Target Field. Latos allowed three hits and one run over six innings to move to 2-and-0. David Robertson fanned two in the ninth en route to his fifth save. Avisail  Garcia went 2-for-4 with a home run for Chicago, which won its fourth in-a-row to improve to 7-and-2.

Ervin Santana surrendered three runs in seven innings to drop to 0-and-1. Joe Mauer  had a triple to highlight the attack for Minnesota, which fell to 0-and-9.

The White Sox are at Tampa Bay tonight against the Rays. The game can be heard on Newstalk 1060.

The Cubs are off to their best start since 1969 after beating the Reds, 8-1.  Kris Bryant homered and Dexter Fowler had three hits and two RBI to help the Cubs improve to 8-and-1.  Jason Hammel fired six shutout innings for his first win.

Tucker Barnhart plated a run in the ninth for Cincinnati, which was swept in the three-game set.  Raisel Iglesias allowed three runs in five innings to take the loss.
