Blackhawks and the Bulls both lose on the road last night

The Panthers racked up three goals in the first period of a 4-0 win over the Blackhawks at the BB&T Center. Reilly Smith, Brian Campbell, and Quinton Howden lit the lamp in the first period to put Chicago in a deep hole. Roberto Luongo made 27 saves, while Aaron Ekblad added another goal for Florida, which ended a four-game slide.

Scott Darling gave up all four goals in the loss for Chicago, which has lost two games in a row after winning 12 straight.

The Blackhawks will be at the United Center on Sunday against St. Louis.

A 15-point halftime lead got dwindled down to one, but the Celtics held off the Bulls, 110-101 at TD Garden.  Isaiah Thomas scored 22 points to lead Boston, with Avery Bradley adding 21 points and four steals.  Jared Sullinger posted 18 points and 12 boards as the Celtics snapped a two-game skid.

Jimmy Butler had 28 points and 14 rebounds for Chicago, while Derrick Rose added 27 points as the Bulls fell to 24-and-18, and 8-and-10 on the road.

The Bulls will be in Cleveland tonight against the Cavaliers. The game can be heard on Newstalk 1060.
