Phillip Danault scored his first career NHL goal late in the third period to lead the Blackhawks over the Sabres 3-1 at the United Center. Niklas Hjalmarsson opened the scoring in the first period and Jonathan Toews sealed in with an empty netter for Chicago, which has won six games in-a-row.
Ryan O'Reilly netted the lone goal of the game for Buffalo, which has dropped six straight games. Chad Johnson made 42 saves in the loss.
The Blackhawks are at home Sunday night against Colorado.
