Matthew Stafford threw three touchdown passes to lead the Lions to a 24-20 win over the Bears in the season finale at Soldier Field. Stafford connected with Eric Ebron for a one-yard TD midway through the fourth quarter that broke a 17-all tie. Calvin Johnson had 10 catches for 137 yards and a score for Detroit, which won six of its final eight games to finish third in the NFC North at 7-and-9. For the Lions, it was their 6th straight win over the Bears during the past 3 seasons.
Jay Cutler was 17-of-23 for 245 yards, two TD's and three interceptions for the 6-and-10 Bears, who are last in the division for the second straight year. Matt Forte ran for 74 yards on 17 carries while adding a 23-yard TD catch in the setback.
The Bears finished for the first time (1-7) at Soldier Field for the season. They were (5-3) on the road.
