Patrick Kane connected on a late game-tying goal, and the game-winner in the shootout to lead the Chicago Blackhawks to a 3-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres from the First Niagara Center. Kane tied the contest with 34 seconds left with his 20th goal of the season, while the 'Hawks were on a 6-on-3 advantage. Corey Crawford stopped 25-of-27 shots, as Chicago has won four of their last five games. Chad Johnson allowed two goals on 28 shots for Buffalo. Ryan O'Reilly and Cody Franson scored for the Sabres, who are 0-7-and-1 in their past eight contests against Chicago.
The Blackhawks are at home tonight against San Jose.
Carmelo Anthony scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Knicks over a tired Bulls squad 107-91 at Madison Square Garden. Arron Afflalo dropped 18 points and Lance Thomas added 13 for New York, which has won four games in-a-row to get back .500 on the year. Joakim Noah led Chicago with 21 points and 10 boards while Bobby Portis put up 20 points and 11 rebounds of his own. The Bulls lost their second straight game after a four overtime loss to the Pistons Friday.
The Bulls return to action on Monday at the United Center against Brooklyn.
