Bulls use strong bench play to beat New Orleans

Pau Gasol scored 18 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to help the Bulls slip past the Pelicans 98-94 at the United Center. Jimmy Butler added 15 points for Chicago, which won its second straight game since losing three in-a-row. The Bulls bench combined for 52 points including 17 from Aaron Brooks.

Anthony Davis and Tyreke  Evans each had 22 points apiece for New Orleans. The Pelicans have lost six of their last eight games and fell to 6-and-16 overall.

The Bulls return to action on Monday night at the United Center against Philadelphia.
