James Neal scored in both the first and the third period to help the Predators blow out the Blackhawks 5-1 at Bridgestone Arena. Nashville jumped out to a three-nothing lead behind goals from Neal, Craig Smith and Filip Forsberg Pekka Rinne made 35 saves to earn the victory for the Preds, who improved to 15-9-and-5.
Patrick Kane broke up the shutout with his 18th goal of the season and kept his franchise record 24-game point streak alive. Scott Darling stopped made 29 saves in the loss. Chicago fell to 15-10-and-4.
Blackhawks are at home tonight against Winnipeg.
