Bears lose in overtime

Blaine Gabbert connected with Torrey Smith for a 71-yard touchdown in overtime, as the 49ers beat the Bears 26-20 at Soldier Field. It's San Francisco's first regular season win in Chicago since 1974. Gabbert's 44-yard TD run with 1:42 to go in the fourth tied the game for the Niners, who improved to 4-and-8. Gabbert finished with 196 yards passing and 75 rushing. Shaun Draughn added 36 yards and a score on 13 carries, while Jimmie Ward returned an interception 29 yards for a TD in the victory. Ward played his college football at NIU in DeKalb.

Jay Cutler was 18-of-31 for 202 yards and the pick-six for the Bears, who slipped to 5-and-7. Matt Forte ran for 84 yards and a TD in defeat. Robbie Gould missed two field goals, including a 36-yarder at the end of regulation.

The Bears will be at home next Sunday against Washington
