Cubs right-hander Jake Arrieta won the NL Cy Young Award and Astros
left-hander Dallas Keuchel took the honor in the AL. Arrieta got 17
of 30 first-place votes in a tight vote with Dodgers stars Zach
Greinke and Clayton Kershaw, who had won three of the previous NL
Cy Youngs.
Arrieta won a major league-best 22 games, was second
with a 1.77 ERA, ranked sixth with 236 strikeouts and pitched a
no-hitter. Keuchel went 20-8 with a 2.48 ERA and 216 strikeouts for
Houston.
