The junior ruptured his achilles in Tuesday's game against Toledo. He had surgery on his leg today in DeKalb.
Hare had played in all 9 games this season for NIU. He has thrown for 1,962 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also rushed for 252 yards and a TD.
Freshman Ryan Graham came in for Hare in Tuesday's win against Toledo. He threw for 132 yards and a TD. He also rushed for 41 yards.
Graham will start next Wednesday against Buffalo.
