It looks like Derrick Rose will be in the
Chicago Bulls' starting lineup on Tuesday in the season opener
against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Rose made his first appearance of the preseason on Friday night,
playing just over 10 minutes in the Bulls' 103-102 victory win over
the Dallas Mavericks. He had eight points, hitting four of six
shots, the first a driving left-handed layup, and finished with one
assist as he pushed the Bulls offense into high gear.
Rose fractured his left orbital bone when he was struck by an elbow
in practice on Sept. 29. He had it surgically repaired the next
day.
Doug McDermott hit a fallaway jumper with 1 second left to give the
Bulls the victory.
Bulls: Taj Gibson had 16 points and seven rebounds while Tony Snell
and Nikola Mirotic had 14 points each.
Up next: The Bulls will host Cleveland to open the season Tuesday.
Dallas will open the season at Phoenix on Wednesday.
