The Chicago Cubs are headed to the National League Championship Series for the first time since 2003. The Cubs beat the Cardinals 6-4 in Game Four of their National League Division Series at Wrigley Field, winning the best-of-five matchup three-games-to-one. It's the first time the Cubs have ever clinched a postseason series at home.
Anthony Rizzo snapped a 4-all tie with a solo homer in the sixth inning and Kyle Schwarber went deep an inning later for insurance. Stephen Piscotty hit a two-run blast in the first for St. Louis but Chicago answered with four in the second, capped by a three-run homer off the bat of Javier Baez .
Tony Cruz had an RBI double and Brandon Moss a game-tying single in the sixth for St. Louis. Trevor Cahill [[ KAY-hill ]] got the win in relief and Hector Rondon the save. Kevin Siegrist took the loss for the Cards. The Cubs will play either the Mets or Dodgers in the NLCS on Saturday.
The game will be played in New York or Los Angeles.
