Cubs even series with a 6-3 win over the Cardinals

The Cubs rode a five-run second inning to a 6-3 win over the Cardinals in Game Two of their National League Division Series at Busch Stadium. Jorge Soler's  two-run homer and Dexter Fowler's RBI single highlighted the inning. Kyle Hendricks gave up three runs in less than five frame, with Travis Wood earning the win in relief. Hector Rondon secured the save as the Cubs knotted the best-of-five series at a game apiece.

Cardinals starter Jaime Garcia was pulled after two rough innings due to a stomach virus and got tagged with the loss. Kolten Wong, Matt Carpenter and Randall Grichuck  each drilled solo homers for St. Louis. Game Three is Monday at Wrigley.
