Jake Arrieta continued his season-long dominance with six shutout innings as the Cubs dropped the Brewers, 6-1 at Miller Park. Arrieta secured his MLB-best 22nd win by striking out seven batters and giving up only two hits. Anthony Rizzo homered and plated three runs for the Cubs, who have already locked up an NL wild card spot.
Ariel Pena gave up three earned runs and five hits to take the loss for Milwaukee. Khris Davis homered to prevent the shutout.
